Eloise's First Cheese Fest

While Matt was in Louisville grading APUSH tests, Eloise and I visited Grandpa Gary and Grandma Margie for a long weekend. The highlight being the Cheese Festival, of course. Walter had been staying at the 9th Ave Spa since we took our family vacation so she was pretty excited when we opened the door! On Thursday Eloise had a sleep over with cousin Benjamin that included swimming and Grandpa & Grandma's new pool, playing at a great park in Rochester and getting poured on at the Cheese Fest. Saturday morning Eloise convinced Grandpa Gary to take her to the pancake breakfast and we took in the tractor show before heading home for a nap. In the afternoon we went to the Pine Haven Kiddie Parade where Eloise convinced many voters that she would make an excellent president! Granny especially liked watching Eloise go by in the parade. Sunday we had a picnic lunch then headed into town for the grand parade. Afterwards we walked to the carnival for some rides (including the bad decision to take Madyson on the Scrambler) and ice cream. After all that fun, Eloise, Walter and I headed back to Mankato with Walter and Eloise sleeping the whole ride home.
