We have had quite the month! Some highlights:
- E's first roadtrip/family vacation. We hit up Des Moines, Kansas City and Omaha! Eloise was a great little traveler and has now visited five different states.
- Summer vacation started for Daddy. We love having him at home every day!
- The cheese fest! Eloise got to try the merry go round for the first time, eat lots of ice cream, try mini doughnuts and enjoyed two parades (one as a participant and one as a spectator).
- Still talking up a storm.....most recently adding "no no no" to her repertoire.
- Working on her top two teeth...but they still haven't poked through yet.
- Trying new foods....she likes BBQ, tried parsnip but strawberries are still the favorite. She often offers her food to us and Walter but never the strawberries.
- Drinking from a sippie cup.
- First time with a babysitter. While Dad was at the AP reading, Mom had to go to the School Board meeting so Julie, our neighbor, played with Eloise and had a great time.
- Swimming-we enjoyed the hotel pools on our vacation, swam at Grandpa and Grandma's and have visited the pool in St. Peter. All have been a big hit!
- Music and dancing are still favorites including playing her xylophone, recorder and tambourine.
- Walking! She took her first steps last week. Although crawling is still the preferred (and quicker) method, she is walking more and more each day. It won't be long before we have a runner!
