The first leg of our family road trip was to visit Matt's Uncle and Aunt (Jeff & Jenny) in Des Moines. They have been inviting us to visit for a while now so we were excited for the opportunity to stay with them. We also timed our trip perfectly and got to watch Michael run in the Iowa State Track Meet. He had a personal record in the mile (by 15 seconds) to finish 10th (went into finals in 22nd!). Samantha came home from Iowa City to play with Eloise (and watch Michael run, too) and we had a great first day/night of our trip! Thanks to Jenny and Jeff for hosting us and Samantha for making the trip to see us!
