Staying with Grandma and Playing with the Cousins

Yesterday Eloise had her first experience with a babysitter (Grandma Margie!) and had a great time. Her Mama survived too! We went to Pine Island Thursday night and stayed over then yesterday morning Matt and I went to the cities for a date day. We shopped at Half Price Books and Ikea then had lunch at Outback Steakhouse. On our way back to PI we stopped for an ice cream cone at DQ and picked up a cake to celebrate Donna's last day of chemo!

When we got back Eloise was napping for Grandma. Donna and Jo stopped by after Donna's treatment and got to play with Eloise before the Thomfordes arrived! Madyson, Ben and Taylor entertained Eloise the rest of the afternoon! Taylor even helped her pick out which American Girl doll she wants (but can't get until she is SEVEN!) and Ben and Aunt Donna helped her pick out her wish list from the Fleet Farm toy catalog.

All that visiting wore Eloise out. She slept pretty good on the drive home, went to bed around 8:30, slept until 8:00 (she did get up twice to eat but slept through the diaper change and feedings!), was up for about a half an hour this morning, ate and has been napping since about 9:00 (it is now 10:15). Playing and sleep overs are hard work!
