18 Months!

This weekend Eloise turned 18 months! She has really been working on new words and skills this past month. We spent the weekend having fun as a family including sledding at a local park and finally replacing the worn out chair in the living room. Eloise stayed with a new babysitter (Anna) on Friday while mom and dad went to listen to a few bands and Mankato Brewery. She and Anna had a great time playing together and Eloise slept in till 7:30 Saturday.

A sampling of Eloise's current vocabulary: mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, Gary, Margie, Taylor or Tay Tay, Mady, Ben, Andy, JoJo, Millie, Owen, Paige, Kathy, Shea, Olie (Oliver), ELMO, neigh-neigh, up, down, please (with or without praying hands), thank you, no, yes, all done, more, cheese, orange, milk, banana, ouch, help, night night, shhhh, go, tickle tickle, belly, nose, eyes, mouth, ears, feet, socks, coat, mittens, hat, boots, shoes, bye, hi, hair, brush, blankie, moon, star and bone.

She still loves singing songs and especially loves dancing. We are working on jumping and climbing on everything. She loves playing in her new kitchen or helping mom and dad in the kitchen. During bath time she likes to put bubbles on her head and face, giving herself a beard. Every day we have to give all her friends at daycare a hug goodbye before we can leave. Many days we have a battle getting shoes on because she wants to do it herself! She discovered there are treats (cookies & ice cream sandwiches) in the freezer but thankfully can't get the freezer open alone yet!

Here are some pictures of Eloise at a year and a half!

Berg Christmas

Eloise had a great second Christmas! We celebrated with the Thomfordes and G & G on Christmas Eve, Granny on Christmas day and the Lubahns on New Year's Eve. It was a lot of celebrating!

Eloise got to try Lefse for the first time, ate too many marshmallows, had fun with her cousins and liked throwing the wrapping paper away.
