I just realized I haven't blogged about Miss E since her 6 month post....yikes! This past month Eloise has been working very diligently about getting herself around. She has mastered sitting up by herself, going from her belly to sitting and back to her belly, scooting around, rocking on her hands and knees and first attempts at pulling herself up onto her knees (the high chair is her favorite climbing assistant, followed by the crib). We've hit a bit of a challenge in the sleep department but I'm confident we have turned a corner...for now.
One highlight from the past few weeks is that in addition to going to the YMCA for swimming lessons, Eloise and I also go each morning. She spends about an hour at the Y child watch (which is a free perk for members!) and I work out or attend one of their drop-in classes. Eloise really enjoys playing there and the staff love having her come since she is such a good baby!
We've also been able to enjoy some quieter weekends at home. With Matt finally done coaching debate it has been great spending more time together as a family of three.
Here are some pictures from the past few weeks.

Six Months!
Somehow our little love bug has turned Six.Whole.Months. I'm not sure how this has happened.....it honestly seems like just last week we were camped up in our little corner of the hospital nursery feeling like we were never going to be discharged. And now, our Sweetie Heart is half a year old already! Time can slow down....or stop...that would be good! Is it ridiculous to look at pictures of Eloise as a newborn and miss that stage? To miss all her stages? Sure there are times on the hard days when I think "how many hours till Matt gets home?" but those moments are few and far between. My days at home with E go so fast and while I love watching her grow, change and learn new things each day, I just wish she wouldn't do those things so quickly. Oh, our silly, playful, determined, observant little Eloise, we love you more each day. Our first six months together have been amazing, watching you discover this world. Mama and Daddy love you more than we could have imagined! XOXO

Six month highlights:
Weight: 18 lb. 10 oz.
Height: 26 1/2"
- Sitting up....and face-planting out of it
- Playing in her crib when it is nap or bedtime
- Walter....still! She has reached for the tail a few times but isn't quite fast enough....yet! Every morning she looks for Walter and gives her a big smile when she finds her.
- Rolling, scooting, spinning on her belly....any method to get around on the floor
- Rocking on her hands and knees
- Observing the world...any time we go somewhere new she has to take it all in
- Smiling at her 6 month pictures on Monday! (at her 3 month ones she felt like being more serious)
- Playing piano and guitar...thanks to some new Christmas gifts we have the start of a one woman band!
- Dumping out her blocks
- Eating solid foods...so far she seems to like the rice cereal and seems to eat more (and spit less out) each time
- Swimming lessons...she is an expert kicker, blowing bubbles...not so much
- Jumping in her new jumper
