Five Months

Today, Eloise is five months old! For some reason that seems so much older than saying she is four months. In the last month her personality has really developed and she is growing and changing so much.

Some highlights of Eloise the five month old:

  • Rolling over! She loves to be on her tummy and now sleeps mainly on her side and tummy. She is also working on getting her butt up in the air and being up on her hands when she rolls over.
  • Sleeping in her own room in her crib. The transition was surprisingly smooth.
  • Talking, laughing, squealing...making any noise!
  • FEET! She loves to play with her feet, get them in her mouth, take off her socks...anything to do with her feet makes her happy!
  • WALTER!!! Anytime Eloise spies Walter she gets a great big smile on her face. We are working on being "gentle" when we pet her but she sometimes gets a handful of Walter's fur. Walter tolerates Eloise, but I have a feeling once we start Eloise on solid food, Walter will enjoy her more!
  • Christmas lights....finally someone who likes the holiday decorations as much as I do!

Here are some photos of Eloise at 5 months!

And now, how taking photos of a five month old really goes:

Cookie Baking!!

This weekend Eloise experienced her first Holiday Baking Weekend at Grandma Margie's! It was a busy few days full of lots of baking and playing with her cousins. We made the trip to Pine Island on Friday after Matt got done with school and had a slumber party with the cousins. Eloise slept in the longest on Saturday and the baking started right away in the morning. With four little ones running around it was pretty busy at Grandma's house and we didn't quite get through our whole list of cookies. Hopefully next year Eloise will be able to help out more and we'll get them all baked! at least we will have another taste tester. By Saturday evening we were all pretty tired and everyone went to bed early!
